Therapy That Helps You Move Beyond Survival

We provide thoughtful, depth-oriented care for adults, couples, and therapists who are ready for meaningful change. Our work integrates somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and evidence-based approaches to support nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

For those seeking more focused momentum, we also offer intensive sessions designed for accelerated, structured progress alongside ongoing therapy.

About Narrows Counseling

Narrows Counseling is a clinical mental health practice providing trauma-informed therapy for adults, couples, and therapists navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional distress, and burnout.

WHAT BRINGS PEOPLE TO THERAPY

Most clients come to Narrows Counseling when they are experiencing emotional overwhelm, relational stress, or the lingering impact of past experiences.

Common concerns include:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm
  • Trauma or unresolved past experiences
  • Relationship conflict, disconnection, or communication challenges
  • Burnout or difficulty managing daily life demands
  • Major life transitions or periods of uncertainty
  • Compassion fatigue and burnout

Often, they have been carrying things alone for a long time—and it has become too much to manage on their own.

WHO THIS IS FOR

We work with adults, couples, and therapists who want support with:

  • emotional stability and grounding
  • healthier communication and relationships
  • understanding and changing long-standing emotional patterns
  • reducing anxiety, reactivity, and overwhelm
  • building clarity and steadiness in daily life

This is a good fit for individuals seeking structured, professional clinical support.

HOW THERAPY WORKS HERE

Therapy at Narrows Counseling is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care tailored to each client’s needs.

We integrate approaches such as:

  • Brainspotting/EMDR (specialized trauma processing)
  • Attachment-based and relational therapy
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Somatic and nervous system-informed practices

Brainspotting/EMDR is a focused therapeutic approach that helps process and release trauma stored in the nervous system, supporting deeper emotional healing beyond traditional talk therapy.

The goal of therapy is to support emotional regulation, process past experiences, and strengthen relational patterns.

When Weekly Therapy Isn’t Enough

Some people reach a point where they’ve done the work, gained insight, and still feel stuck in the same emotional or relational patterns.

If you’ve been in therapy but notice that understanding your patterns hasn’t actually changed them, you’re not alone.

This is often where deeper, more focused work becomes necessary.

We offer Intensive Brainspotting and somatic sessions for individuals, couples, and therapists who are ready to move beyond insight into real nervous system change.

These sessions are designed for:

  • getting unstuck from long-standing emotional patterns
  • working directly with the nervous system instead of only talking through experiences
  • creating focused change in a condensed, structured format

Client Reflections

Amanda

“Through specialized trauma healing approaches, Latisha has helped me make more progress through my trauma than any other therapist I’ve worked with. She creates a deeply respectful and non-judgmental space where I’ve felt safe to do meaningful inner work at my own pace.

What stood out most was how my personal faith was honored throughout the process, allowing me to integrate my beliefs into my healing in a way that felt fully supported and never pressured.

I have never felt more safe or open in therapy, and I am deeply grateful for the transformation that has taken place. I would highly recommend her.”

Mark

“This counseling experience at Narrows Counseling helped me connect more deeply with my identity and worth as a man. Through integrative, trauma-informed, and emotionally focused approaches, I began working through compulsive behaviors and the deeper pain behind them.

The trust I built with my clinician created a safe space to face things I had avoided for years, including the pain men carry when they unintentionally hurt those they love. This work has been transformational in helping me become the man I once didn’t believe was possible.”

James & Emily

“Prior to counseling, we were struggling with distance in our relationship and found it difficult to communicate without tension or misunderstanding. We often reacted from frustration rather than truly hearing each other.

Through this work, we began to slow down and understand what was happening beneath our patterns. We’ve become more aware of ourselves and each other, and communication feels more grounded and intentional.

We now feel more connected and more able to show up for each other in a healthy way.”
